Sverdlovsk region’s exporters took part in 125 meetings with international companies

The International Сenter, part of the Sverdlovsk Regional Business Support Foundation, together with Deutsche Messe RUS, have announced results of the International Matchmaking Event that took place during GRAND EXPO-URAL Week on 19-22 September 2017. 20 companies from 10 countries, including Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Slovenia and other countries met with over 30 Russian companies.

It is to be reminded that Evgeniy Kuyvashev, Head of the Sverdlovsk Region, has set the task to develop the congress and exhibition sphere of the region in order to provide support to Ural businessmen who look for accessing foreign markets.

“The Ural region has been hosting this event for the second consecutive year. For businessmen, this is a real opportunity to find new partners, familiarize themselves with advanced technologies, present their products and solutions, and evaluate to what extend they could be in demand in the international markets. Apart from Sverdlovsk businessmen, the event was attended by professionals from Tver, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen regions. One of special quests was a representative of Bashkortostan Ministry for Industry and Innovative Policy. In total, there were 125 meetings this year”, said Elena Siyatovskaya, Director of the International Department.

Companies involved in the woodworking industry, furniture production, HVAC&R equipment and technologies were able to meet foreign partners and hold business negotiations.

“Based on the results of the meetings, I can say that the companies of the Sverdlovsk region have a great potential for entering the international market, their products meet high requirements, and the ideas that the Ural exporters offer are sometimes completely non-trivial and have a great future”, - said Alar Kask (Finland) who took part in the Matchmaking event.
